1. What does the module do?
It provides the user with general information about the webpage/application.
2. When should the module be used?
A footer should be inserted on every webpage/application.
3. Rules
- The four-column rich footer has the following sections:
- Contact.
- Rail traffic information (at sbb.ch or microsite/application-specific information).
- Newsletter and social media.
- About SBB.
- Further elements in the footer are:
- Clock module.
- Choice of language.
- Links to publication details, legal information, data protection.
- They are shown full-screen in a lightbox if the clock is clicked on.
4. Variants and statuses
4.1 Standard

- The contact area contains a dropdown with various contact options. There is only one piece of contact information (no choice), so this is shown directly.
- The height of the footer changes depending on the length of the contact content.
- The second column contains the rail traffic information.
- The third column contains newsletter and social media information:
- Information text with newsletter with link to registration.
- External social media platforms (links to the SBB sites on various social media platforms)
- Optional internal social media platforms (e.g. links to SBB blog (‘SBB Stories’ designation) and the SBB Community).
- The last column contains links to certain SBB content. This is defined according to context.
